Food for Philippines is a project created by Alejandro Larrea to help malnourished children, especially in the Philippines, to become healthy adults who can change the world. Associated with the I am Prudent Foundation.
Since March 2020, when the entire world was impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, many of us have suffered the consequences. Most of the countries have already turned the page, but there are still areas that need our support, areas that even before the pandemic began, already had problems.
For example, on the island of Bantayan, precisely in the Santa Fe area, we could see how many children suffered from malnutrition and we wanted to contribute our help
Dr. Alejandro Larrea, who was a resident of the Philippines during the pandemic, visited these children in their schools and homes and realized that their nutritional intake was highly unbalanced and extremely poor.
The main goal of our outreach programs is to help children and families in need by providing food and other basic necessities, particularly those living in rural areas who suffer the most from hunger on a daily basis.
We are motivated to help those in need. Witnessing the many struggles around us, we decided to take action, hoping to make a positive impact on the lives of those around us who need it most, as well as inspire others to do the same. We can't change the world, but doing something around us will definitely make the world a better place, step by step.
Direct donations will always be the most efficient way to ensure that children in need get nutritious meals. But if you can't donate financially, you can still help spread the word by sharing this project with your friends, family, and networks, so we can continue to grow our donor community.
For the month of December 2021, more than 1500 kg of food was contributed.
"Changing the world is the sum of all these small steps."
Dr. Alejandro Larrea distributed a portion of 1250 kilos of rice for the Food of Philippines fundraiser this October at Baranggay Sillon here in Island, we helped more than 300 families. Seeing their smile filled my heart, in return they felt blessed to receive what we can give. A simple act of giving goes a long way in helping others, so act now and join me in creating a healthy community.
For the month of December 2020, more than 1000 portions of rice and 100 portions of sardines were contributed to the Food For Philippines fundraiser
Bringing a smile to people, especially children, is priceless.
Our first donation to the primary school of Poblacion (Santa Fe, Bantayan) thanks to the support of the clients of my Functional Training Center in Shanghai.
